Hello, my dears!
So, today I thought I would do a review of the Wet N Wild Photofocus foundation[retails for $6]. I am choosing to review this product because I have now used two shades of this foundation, have applied it many different ways and feel like I can give an honest review.
Alright, so to start off I will say I have combination skin. I have oily skin and dry skin present on different areas of my face and I do believe this foundation would work for either dry or oily skin. To me, this foundation has a natural finish but it leans on the side of matte and definitely controls oil. The coverage is about medium coverage but can be built up to almost full coverage if that coverage is desired. The applicator for this product is in spatula form and it is an excellent way to make sure too much product does not get wasted. I’ve also noticed you do not need a lot of this product to get even coverage, which is a plus!
The color selection for this range of foundation is pretty good, even though I think it depends on what store you visit. I personally am in the shade “Nude Ivory” and it is almost perfect for my skin, but in my opinion, this product oxidizes and can easily become too dark if you don’t take this into consideration.
As far as application goes, honestly I enjoy the application with a sponge or a stippling brush. There are many other brushes I have used though, and they all seem to apply wonderfully.
The foundation also lasts for a good 8 hours without showing much difference, and in my opinion, it does not need to be set. This foundation also sets very quickly.
There is no flashback either! Hence the name!
I chose this foundation not only because it is inexpensive but also because it is cruelty-free and vegan. I strongly believe that if a company can price their products this low and make the quality as high as it is, we need to ask ourselves why other companies won’t.
Overall, I ADORE this foundation, with all the aspects mentioned above being taken into consideration. It is perfect for me and I will continue to use it.
4.9/5.0 [the smell does kind of smell like paint]
