Hello, my loves!
I hope you all had a magical holiday season. I was fortunate enough to receive a few of Besame cosmetic products for Christmas and I thought I would review them for you. I have always been intrigued by the brand so being able to test out a lipstick and a blusher from them is so exciting.
Besame cosmetics is a vintage makeup brand that was founded in 2004. The brand produces products that are authentically accurate to their time and are cruelty-free. Besame’s mission is to make all women feel beautiful and empowered. I have always enjoyed everything vintage and to have a little piece of history in my makeup bag makes me feel even more connected to the decades I wish I could have experienced.
Thanks to my sister, I was gifted one of Besame’s lipsticks, specifically the Snow White Red lipstick, which is a satin-finish lipstick. The color is a neutral to cool shade according to Besame’s website but on me it appears quite warm in my opinion, almost a very subtle orange-red. As far as being satin, it seems to dry down much quicker than your typical satin lipstick. When it dries down, it does remain moisturizing and does transfer but not enough to not be able to wear while you eat. The lipstick does not have fragrance and comes packaged beautifully. The bullet itself is not rounded off like most lipsticks, but rather is squared. This makes for a better application in my opinion because you do not need an additional lip liner! This product retails for $24
Overall, I am impressed with this lipstick. The packaging is amazing, the formula is good even if it is more of a matte in my opinion, and I love the way the square top helps with ease of application.
I also was gifted a blush, which is their translucent blush in 1915 Rose. I am not going to lie I was so excited to receive this blush because it would have been the time of Downton Abbey and I absolutely love that show. To start, the packaging is amazing. It comes in a little red compact which you twist open to reveal a beautiful dusty rose color. The pan could last you a year even if you used it every day since the product itself is so pigmented. I cannot imagine myself wearing another blush now because this is so beautiful. It is a powder blush but it barely has any fallout and is able to be applied with ease. I would recommend using an actual blush brush for this it will help diffuse some of the color. This is a blush that you can wear all day without seeing movement. This product retails for $18.
I highly encourage you to try this product, especially if you are a vintage lover and want to feel like a time traveler every time you apply your makeup.
I am super impressed with this brand. I truly did not know what to expect from Besame but I am grateful for being able to test the lipstick and blush out first and will definitely be looking into purchasing more in the future.
If you have any questions, or have any recommendations from Besame for me, leave them in the comments!
