Hello, my loves!
Today I’m going to be doing another Thrift Store finds! It’s only the first week of July still but I’ve already found a few goodies which I’ve been super happy with having in my room. I do buy clothes as well at the thrift store but it’s harder to blog about them as opposed to home decor. I could definitely make a YouTube video hauling clothes, but for now I’ll just be posting about home decor and accessories!
The first thrifted item is this wicker stand which has cute heart details on the sides. I really liked this because I could easily pick it up and move it but it still has a decent amount of storage. For $3 USD it was a steal to me, and I will definitely be rotating items depending on the season.
The second item I purchased was a set of frames with what appears to be like a vintage post card or something inside. I don’t know if that was just the picture that came with the frame but I still think the color and the photo are cute. The other frame has a similarly drawn photo, just with a different label. I really like these and I’ve set one on each bedside table! Each frame was $1 USD.
I found this cute bunny binder holder and I really think it fits my vintage decor in my bedroom. I am currently using it to store mail and papers as well as a vintage tin where I store some extra makeup (random, I know). It cost me $1 USD!
Lastly, I bought this beautiful vintage looking necklace for $1 USD. I purchased this because it looks elegant but can be worn every day to make a statement. I typically either go for really gaudy jewelry like in the last haul or simple, more mature pieces.
I feel like for the prices that I’ve paid for these items, you just can’t beat it. I love shopping for inexpensive finds and anything to make my bedroom look more vintage but still functional makes me so happy!
I hope your weekend is going well and I will be posting again tomorrow (today, as it is past midnight..)
Until Next Time,
Hello, my loves!
I hope your weekend is going well so far. I have had one of the best weeks I have had in a long time! Anyways, I thought today I could bring you another quick review. It is on the Soap And Glory Melty Talented Dry Skin Balm.
I bought this balm a few weeks ago and I have really been enjoying it ever since. The Melty Talented is a pink colored balm, which has a solid consistency at room temperature but once warmed up against fingertips, it turns into a soothing oil. It claims it is for dry lips, hair tips, elbows, knees, and cuticles.
I have mostly used it on my knees and elbows and I can say it is a very fast acting oil for dry skin. I have chronically dry skin when seasons change and this has prevented me from having to layer on thick creams which takes a lot more time to rub in usually. With this balm it rubs in instantly and there isn’t even too much of a greasy feel to it either. The smell is amazing and is a warm, vanilla cupcake scent. This product retails for $6 USD for 1 o.z. (a little goes a long way) and can be found at Walgreens or on Soap and Glory’s website.
I can recommend this product to anyone who wants soft, great smelling skin, at a fair price. I love Soap and Glory, and often feel the brand is not always given recognition even when their products are stellar!
Well, I hope you enjoyed my review and if you have any Soap and Glory products you can recommend I would absolutely love to hear about them! So, leave them in the comments!
Until Next Time,
Hello, my loves! Happy Monday!
As you may know, I am an avid thrift shopper. I love spending little money on high quality items at the thrift store instead of lesser quality items that would cost much more from a typical store. I have a thrift shop near my house that has the nicest items, whether it be clothes or home decor and it is the lowest prices I’ve ever found in my experience. I decided I’m going to share my recent finds.
I found these three desert plates for 50cents each. They are originally from Pier 1 and I am in love with them. They have such a cute floral design and I will likely use them to hold little crystals, rings, or even lip balms.
I bought these small bowls with blue floral detail. These were 99cents each and are in perfect condition. I will use these bowls for oatmeal in the morning.
I bought these blank cards that have a country style vibe but they also remind me of summer. The pack of cards was 40cents and came with five cards. I will be sending these out to family members who live in different states.
The last two items I am sharing is a bold pink necklace, which I bought for 99cents, and a floral print skirt which was 2 dollars. I plan on pairing this with a white dress tank top and black ballet flats for a casual summer outfit.
My love for vintage and floral is probably quite apparent here, but I hope you liked the small look into some of the purchases I’ve made so far in June.
Until next time,
Hello, my dears!
We have all been there when the budget we have is low, and we are bored but want to shop. I have been there quite a few times and I thought I’d share a few things you could do when your budget doesn’t allow some of the other plans you hoped for.
- Thrift Shop. So, some people have reservations about thrifting but I believe it can be one of the most fun and economically friendly past times. There’s plenty of items you can purchase at the thrift store besides clothes. I like to look at the vintage teacups or even the paper supplies. There’s plenty of clothes or items for your home like furniture or decorations. Basically, you can go here and spend less than twenty dollars and go home happy so it’s definitely a budget-friendly option.
- Second Hand Book Store. This is similar to the thrift shopping but there are gobs and gobs of books! I love to learn and read but sometimes books can get expensive so I love going to second-hand bookstores and spending a long time looking for something that will keep me entertained for hours.
- Dollar Tree. Honestly, the dollar tree is great for anyone who wants to do art projects or decorate their home for the season. You can get anything from candles to mirrors, to decorative ornaments. They have a pretty well-stocked paper supply section and always have tons of stickers! Also, their candy aisle is always a treat!
- Tj-Maxx. Tj-Maxx has recently become one of my favorite stores, especially for skin care items. They have a wonderful selection of high-end products which you can pay a fraction of the price for. They also have clothes, home goods, even tea, and snacks!
I thought it would be fun to write this post because I know I am always looking for a deal or to pay less for quality items. If you have any other ideas for budget-friendly shopping leave them in a comment below! ❤
