Thanksgiving Giveaway Time! [USA ONLY]

Hello, my loves! So I thought I’d do a small give away for the upcoming holiday, Thanksgiving. I’m sorry about it not being an international giveaway but I want the recipient to receive the products in a timely manner and shipping overseas can often be delayed by various things.

I know I’ve only been on this blog for a few months but I really appreciate anyone and everyone who follows me or even reads my posts at all! So, here are the details:

  • Like my post
  • Leave a comment – introduce yourself
  • If you don’t have a WordPress – just simply leave a comment to me on twitter saying hi under the giveaway post.
  • I will randomly pick a winner through a winner generator and I will send you a message and your package once I get your information! ❤

So, the products I have chosen are those to have a pamper night/relaxing day/add a little makeup and you’re set.

The products involve are:

3 crystals [rose quartz, smoky quartz, sodalite]

1 package of GIRLBOSS cards you can use for your business or blog or for friends [so fun]

1 pumpkin spice decorative candle [love this fragrance]

A few matcha green teas to sample [my favorite]

1 vanilla body cream [another favorite of mine]

1 baked highlighter by ELF in Moonlight Pearls

1 Liquid Matte Lipstick by ELF in Mauvelous [very flattering for all skin tones]

1 travel sized Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Mud Mask [I’ve used this before and it is amazing!]

1 Balm Dot Com in Cherry by Glossier [SQUEE] (not pictured above because they are in route to my house ATM)

1 CloudPaint of your choice in either “DUSK OR PUFF” [also both  very flattering on all skin tones] (also  not pictured above due to in route to my house)

The winner of the giveaway will also get the Glossier stickers as well as some stickers from me and a letter from me with a thank you for being a reader. The winner will be chosen on the 20th and as soon as the Glossier order comes (which should be before then but just in case it isn’t) in I will then send out the package (which will be sent through UPS).

Thank you and good luck!

The No-Makeup-Makeup-Look

Hello, my loves! Happy Saturday!

In accordance with the weekend, I thought I’d discuss my typical makeup look that I wear during the weekend (and some of the week). I try to be a more minimalistic beauty person, I tend to go for more simple makeup looks that are natural and can be worn on an everyday basis. However, there are still times when I do a full face of makeup! So, the look I’m going to talk about today is basically when I want to wear makeup but not look like I am wearing any — or at least not much.

I have four products which make up my no-makeup look.

Base: BB Cream, which stands for BEAUTY BALM, and is known to have more skin benefits, but typically less coverage, these often have an SPF in the formula. I’ve used several different BB creams, and a few of my favorites are the Rimmel Radiance BB Cream, Tarte BB Cream, and Maybelline Dream BB. Another great product for these days is a skin tint, which is basically a small amount of coverage that evens out your natural skin tone. I recommend Rimmel’s Skin Tint or Glossier skin tint.

Blush: I typically do not like to use a powder blush on these days but rather use a cream formula, or even a creamy lipstick to bring color back into my face. My favorite cream blush is from Wet & Wild, which is their Photofocus blush range, they come in a stick form, and all their colors are absolutely wonderful and easy to apply and inexpensive! I’d also recommend the Glossier Cloud Paints which come in the colors Dusk, Beam, Puff, and Haze which are all natural, buildable colors which look like you were born with glow and color.

Brows: Brows are such an important part of your daily makeup routine whether it is a full face of makeup or just a few key items. Brows frame your face and can make you look a lot more youthful if done correctly, so make sure the items you use on your brows works with what you need them to do. Personally, I only need one item for my brows because they are definitely more on the full side but I like to fill in some sparse areas so I use a wax brow pencil by ELF. I highly recommend looking at ELF brow products because they are so inexpensive and have the ability to transform your brows and they last for months!

Balm: On days when I wear less makeup I really don’t see the need to wear a bold lip or even a lipstick at all. Instead, I choose a lip balm, and my favorite is the cherry chapstick. I honestly cannot get enough of the feeling of a nice balm on my lips, and the cherry chapstick also provides a bit of color to my lips. If you need something a little richer, try something like a vaseline or even a gloss can sometimes provide extra hydration.

Obviously, this look can be modified depending on the season or whatever your preferences are, so have fun with it!

There’s a quote by Rosie Huntington Whitely which I really enjoy and it says “makeup is meant to enhance, not hide” and I strongly believe in this when it comes to my own makeup.

Have a lovely day,
